Also known as Evernia Prunastri, Oakmoss Absolute oil is a solvent extracted from light green lichen that is found growing primarily on oak trees as well as sometimes on other species. Available in both concentrate and absolute form, it is used as fixative. Oakmoss concrete is primarily used primarily in soaps and Oakmoss absolute is used in all perfume types. Oak-moss oil is primarily used primarily in perfumery, cosmetics and soaps, Oak-moss oil also used in perfume bases. This oak-moss oil is easy to work with than absolute because of it's consistency is thin like carrier oil.

Appearance: Greenish brown to dark brown coloured, slightly viscous liquid but pourable

Oakmoss Absolute is extracted by solvent extraction. The major chemical constituents are lichenol, being an ester of evernic acid. Oakmoss is an excellent fixative and blends well with Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Jasmin, Tuberose and Neroli. Commonly used to treat respiratory conditions.
