Vetiver Hydrosol

Vetiver is famous all over the India and it grows in wild starting spring and gets ready by fall. People are familiar with this popularly known as “Khus” or “Khus-Khus” and it is extensively used in perfumes and food industry. The botanical name of vetiver is Vetiveria zizanoides or Andropogon muricatus. This grass has a very pleasant, mild, earthy, and musky smell which has a cooling effect on the body and the mind. It is also used to thatch roofs of earthen houses and mattresses. It is also used as curtains on the doors and windows, which, apart from cooling and scenting the rooms, keeps insects away. 

The soothing and cooling effects of this hydrosol is calming and pacify all sorts of inflammation. The vetiver hydrosol is used as toner to disappearance of scars and other marks on the skin. It also promotes the growth of new tissues in the affected places which replace the dead and discolored tissues and helps achieve a new look. This is also useful for post-delivery stretch marks for pregnant women, fat cracks, after spots left by pox, and burns.
