Bacuri Butter is obtained from the seeds of the Platonia insignis fruit that grows on the wild Bacuri trees in Amazon rainforest Brazil. Bacuri butter has high percentage of Tripalmitin 45-60% and its content of palmitoleic fatty acid content is 4-6%.This soft butter ranges in color from brown to a dark brown with a rich, distinctive aroma to match. Bacuri Butter is rich in palmitic and oleic fatty acid and glycerides, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamins A, B, and niacin (B3 vitamin) and contains a high proportion of amino acids. In Brazil local population use Bacuri butter for joint pain, ear infections and for all kind of skin disorders.
