Chamomile Essential Oil (Morocco)

Botanical Name: Tanacetum Annuum

Extraction Method: Steam Distilled

Description: This plant is an erect annual, up to 60cm in height, with wispy 2-3 pinnate, hairy leaves and tubular yellow flowers, surrounded by a single row of white ligulate florets which are often bent backwards.

Aromatic Scent: Chamomile Morocco has a strong, sweetish, warm, herbaceous odor.

Common Uses: German Chamomile has natural properties that make it a relaxing and rejuvenating agent. Its trace amounts of lithium calm nerves and reduce stress, lower hysteria and over-sensitivity and aids with insomnia. Chamomile (Morocco) is also reputed to have excellent anti-inflammatory and antibiotic properties that can assist with cuts, wounds and insect bites.

Color: Bluish green to dark green liquid.

Common Uses: Chamomile Absolute is one of the most widely used oil in aromatherapy. It contains soothing, relaxing properties and its fragrance is distinct enough to have earned its own place in perfumery.
