Botanical Name: Pelargonium capitatum x radens

Extraction Method: Steam Distilled

Common Uses: As one of the few oils with the ability to both uplift and sedate, Rose Geranium works profoundly on the emotions. It works wonders in skincare remedies and can be used to help in the treatment of the following: acne, bruises, burns, cuts, dermatitis, eczema, hemorrhoids, lice, mosquito repellent, ringworm, ulcers, edema, poor circulation, sore throat, tonsillitis, PMS, menopausal problems, stress and neuralgia. It can be used to remedy digestive ailments, kidney and bladder disorders and has traditionally been considered as an astringent.
This variety of Rose Geranium is one of the most fragrant specie and the oil is used in to perfumery and cosmetics industry as it can be made to imitate many fragrances and is often used to 'stretch' the much more expensive oil of rose.

Aromatic Scent: A richly, warm and sweet floral scent, Rose Geranium is not replacement for real rose oil. Adding it to any rose formula to enhance the rose accents and reduce the amount of the more expensive real rose oil.

I also use this oil as a tick repellant. An excellent product! My dogs have not had a tick for over a year now. I put 40 drops of it with 1 tsp of witch hazel in about 1/3 cup of water in a spray container. I also use it for my family as a tick repellant.

VERY EFFECTIVE TICK REPELLANT. This is the best Rose Geranium Radens product that I have found to repel ticks. After my dogs had bad reactions to flea/tick meds (literally vomiting everyday for a week after application) I now try to stay away from chemicals as much as possible. So I looked into essential oils as tick repellents. I now spray my dogs with a solution of water and a few drops of Rose Geranium. It has to be the “Radens” variety. Or I put a few drop in my palms and rub their legs, bellies and necks before they go out. They used to get several ticks every walk but now they do not come home with any!
Sometimes I add other essential oils if the Mosquitos are also bad, or I add the Rose Geranium to a store bought natural insect repellant.
