Anthelmintic, febrifuge, stomachic, bitter tonic. An infusion of quassia wood has been used to treat fever, rheumatism, and dyspepsia. Taken Internally It kills roundandworms, and as enema it kills pinworms. The tea is also said to destroy appetite for alcohol. Water left standing overnight in a cup made of qui5sia wood becomes a weak Infusion suitable as a bitter tonic for the stomach. An Infusion also serves as a scalp rinse to counteract dandruff.
