It is an erect and branched annual herb with 4-angled branches and about 30-90 cm high.The leaves are 5.0-7.5 cm 1.2-2.5 cm,lanceolate tempring to the base and acute pale beneath.Flowers are small and solitary. Seeds are numerous,subquadrate,yellowish brown,rugose and glabrous. Whole plant- Debility, dysentery & dyspepsia(indigestion), infusion of plant given in fever, also used in spleen complaints, colic, strangulation of intestine, constipation, diarrhea, colera, phthisis, consumption & bite of rabid jackal.
