Botanic Planet Canada  tinctures are alcohol-based tinctures they are prepared according to North American Pharmacopoeia Standard. Tinctures are extracted from the herbs (Bark, Flower, Fruit,  Leaf, Root & Seeds ) in 50% distilled cane sugar alcohol and distilled water at a 2:10 ratio.  This is standard method of extraction with alcohol which helps extract almost all active ingredients from a herb yielding standard tinctures. Extracts are one of the simplest ways to enjoy the goodness of herbs. Alcohol eliminates the growth of bacteria and mold while preserving the valuable constituents resulting in a much longer shelf life.

Manjistha is an Ayurvedic herb also called Indian madder. A tincture is a liquid extract, usually made with alcohol, used in small doses.
Commonly claimed health benefits
Traditional Ayurveda and herbal medicine commonly use Manjistha for:

Skin support acne, eczema, psoriasis, pigmentation, and inflammatory skin conditions
Anti-inflammatory effects may help reduce inflammatory activity
Antioxidant activity plant compounds may help protect cells from oxidative stress

Liver and detox support  often included in detox formulas
Women’s health  traditionally used for menstrual balance
Urinary and kidney support  sometimes used in herbal protocols for urinary health

These uses are mostly based on traditional medicine and preliminary research, not strong clinical proof.
What scientific research says
Human evidence is still limited. One small randomized controlled study found that Manjistha supplementation altered gut microbiota composition and increased beneficial bacteria trends in some participants, but researchers stated that responses varied and more studies are needed.
Laboratory and animal studies suggest:

antioxidant effects
antimicrobial activity
anti-inflammatory potential
possible liver-protective effects
But there is not enough high-quality human research to confirm major medical benefits yet.
