Uses
Eugenol is primarily used as an aroma chemical and fragrance ingredient. In perfumery, it can provide a recognizable clove/spice character while helping create richer and warmer fragrance accords.

Common applications include fine perfumes and colognes, Eau de Parfum, perfume oils, floral and spicy accords, soaps, body washes, shampoos and conditioners, creams and lotions, deodorants, candles, diffusers, air-care products and other fragranced formulations.

It is particularly useful for creating or enhancing clove, carnation, rose, oriental, amber, woody, balsamic and warm-spice accords. It combines well with materials such as rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine, patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, bergamot and other aroma chemicals.
