Rose Oxide is a powerful aroma chemical used in perfumery to create fresh, natural-looking rose and green floral notes. Despite its name, it is not rose essential oil. It is an individual fragrance molecule that occurs naturally in trace amounts in materials such as rose and geranium and can also be produced for perfumery. Rose Oxide is particularly useful for giving a fragrance a fresh, diffusive rose character. It can make rose accords smell brighter and more realistic and can add a distinctive green, slightly metallic lift. It is commonly used in fine perfumes, Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette, perfume oils, rose accords, geranium accords, floral bouquets, soaps, body washes, shampoos, lotions, creams, deodorants, candles, diffusers and home-fragrance products.
